Senegal will soon have its first tourism code. The validation work of the development project having started this Thursday, July 19 in Saly in the department of Mbour (70 km south of Dakar).<\/p>\n

These meetings are chaired by Minister Mame Mbaye Niang, in the presence of professionals in the sector. The code, whose development process was launched in January 2018, will have to regulate the conditions for the exercise of tourism activities and professions.<\/p>\n

In addition, it will be a “response to the request made since 2004 by tourism professionals,” said Mame Mbaye Niang.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Minister has made a symbolic discount of the professional map of tourism guide. This card is used to supervise the practice of the profession.<\/p>\n

The same source notes that in total, more than a hundred cards were made by a selection advisory commission and a hundred more will be issued soon.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from his ministry, the entire Senegalese tourism sector must be rethought in terms of governance, organization, operation and financing of structuring investments.<\/p>\n
