She replaces the American-Belgian Joelle Dehasse, in office since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am pleased to join the Togo team as Resident Representative to continue the momentum built by my predecessor, to reinforce ongoing actions and to move forward, while maintaining the impetus given by our joint teams. &#8211; those of Togo and the Bank- for a successful implementation of our operations and an increase in the volume of our portfolio in Togo, &#8220;said the Mauritanian quoted in a statement from the institution.<\/p>\n<p>Holder of a DESS in Management of Economic Policies from the University Felix Houphouet-Boigny of Abidjan and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sherbrooke in Canada, Hawa Wagu\u00e9 joined the institution in September 2002 as Economist at the Nouakchott office, notably within the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management unit.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to her arrival in Lome, she was &#8220;Senior Economist in the Credit Risk Department of the World Bank,&#8221; said the statement, which also informs that the Mauritanian was also Principal Economist for Nigeria.
