{"id":460971,"date":"2018-07-10T15:46:19","date_gmt":"2018-07-10T14:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.financialafrik.com\/?p=460971"},"modified":"2018-07-10T15:46:19","modified_gmt":"2018-07-10T14:46:19","slug":"aiim-announces-new-equity-investment-in-segap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/2018\/07\/10\/aiim-announces-new-equity-investment-in-segap\/","title":{"rendered":"AIIM announces new equity investment in SEGAP"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div><p>One month after acquiring stakes in Albatros Energy Mali, African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) announces that it has acquired a 50% stake in the Airport Operations and Management Company (SEGAP), an airport investment holding company present in Ivory Coast, Gabon and the Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from the subsidiary of South Mutual Group of South Africa, made public in early July, the new transaction through the African Infrastructure Investment Fund 3 (AIIF3) will allow SEGAP to capitalize on growth opportunities &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As the aviation sector in Africa matures and opens up for private sector investment in airport infrastructure. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Still controlled at 50% by the Egis engineering group, SEGAP holds interests in three concessionaire companies operating 5 airports in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, Gabon and the Republic of Congo. &#8220;AIIM is the right investor to support SEGAP&#8217;s growth plans,&#8221; said Francis Brangier, CEO of the French company.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that AIIF3 is the third pan-African fund of the AIIM, focusing mainly on energy and transport infrastructure in sub-Saharan Africa.
