{"id":460354,"date":"2018-06-05T02:47:14","date_gmt":"2018-06-05T02:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.financialafrik.com\/?p=460354"},"modified":"2018-06-05T02:47:14","modified_gmt":"2018-06-05T02:47:14","slug":"boad-gives-cfaf-40-billion-loan-to-burkina-faso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/2018\/06\/05\/boad-gives-cfaf-40-billion-loan-to-burkina-faso\/","title":{"rendered":"BOAD gives CFAF 40 billion loan to Burkina Faso"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div><p>The West African Development Bank (BOAD) has signed with the Burkinabe government two loan agreements totaling 40 billion CFA francs in the water and local development sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made Saturday, June 2, by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, these two loans relate to the project to strengthen the rainwater drainage network of the city of Ouagadougou (phase 3) and the support program for the development of local economies (PADEL) in Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n<p>Phase 3 of the Ouagadougou stormwater network strengthening project, for which BOAD commits up to 10 billion FCFA, will focus on the development of the outlet inside and out. downstream from Bangr W\u00e9ogo Park.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the project will contribute to improving people&#8217;s access to a sustainable sanitation service by increasing the number of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, 6,858 indirect jobs will be created with induced effects in the field of waste management.<\/p>\n<p>With regard to the Program for support to the development of local economies (PADEL), BOAD provides Burkina Faso with resources amounting to CFAF 30 billion for its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>This program will reduce inter and intra regional infrastructure disparities by providing modern energy services and basic socio-economic infrastructure to communities, communities and micro and small enterprises; build vibrant, prosperous and inclusive local economies in Burkina Faso; and to help create jobs.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that these two operations, bring the total amount of commitments BOAD in this country to 564.8 billion FCFA.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West African Development Bank (BOAD) has signed with the Burkinabe government two loan agreements totaling 40 billion CFA francs in the water and local development sectors.
