This is the number of farmers that OCP School Lab will reach in its next stage, which starts on May 31 in Bauchi State, northern Nigeria.
\nAfter accompanying more than 50,000 farmers in 6 countries of the continent, the Caravan, signed OCP Africa, this time targets one of the largest agricultural regions of the country. The caravan whose ambition is to bring agricultural technological innovations closer to farmers, will provide farmers in the region with recommendations on the use of fertilizers, training in good agricultural practices and educational materials.<\/p>\n

In addition, 3000 farmers will also benefit from soil analysis services thanks to the mobile laboratory. Others, of the same number, will benefit from the recommendations of
\nfertilization provided by the mobile application Nutrient Expert. If the training will cover all the cultures of the region, this edition of the Caravan will focus mainly on corn.<\/p>\n

In Nigeria, the OCP School Lab program is implemented in partnership with the state authorities of Bauchi as well as other major institutions specializing in agricultural development. This is the case of the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Program (BSADP), in charge of farmers’ mobilization, training and logistics, as well as the IPNI (International Plant Nutrition Institute), who deals with agronomic advice via Nutrient Expert, the mobile application.<\/p>\n

OCP School Lab is now a powerful label that is at the heart of
\ndevelopment of OCP Africa. A strategy that aims to increase smallholder yields
\nfarmers on strategic crops by offering a comprehensive package of services
\nfarm.<\/p>\n
