On the sidelines of the CSR and Women’s Leadership workshop, organized on March 27 in Dakar with the Embassy of Canada and her Excellency Ms. Filiatraut and Philippe Barry President CSR Senegal, Citibank Senegal CEO Papa Sall recalled the the importance of diversity issues, the gender approach and sustainable development in the Citi Group strategy.<\/p>\n

“Indeed, at Citi, one of our strategic advantages is undoubtedly a remarkable diversity of cultures, origins and perspectives offered by our work environment with a presence in more than 100 countries. Our geographic presence and cultural diversity provide our clients with proven expertise as a result of our success in operations around the world, “said Mr. Sall.<\/p>\n

Stressing the “Talent and Diversity” equation as a proven catalyst for economic growth and progress, Citibank Senegal’s Executive Director detailed the group’s strategy in more than 11 countries. As he recalled, four of these 11 subsidiaries are led by women, including
\nKhady Dior Ndiaye – CEO for West and Central Africa and previously CEO of Citibank Senegal.<\/p>\n

“While there is no doubt that” Diversity “is an integral part of Citi’s DNA, we recognize that there is still work to be done to increase the access of women and minorities to positions of responsibility. A more equitable work environment provides meaningful results, “says Sall.
\nRegarding the Senegalese subsidiary in particular, a process is initiated in partnership with human resources functions to create a climate of inclusion guaranteeing the success and motivation of our staff.
\n“Finally,” says the banker, “I would like to add that we were the first supporters of the YALI (Young African Leadership Initiative) in Senegal, which focuses on Business & Entrepreneurship to help young Africans create \/ innovate. undertake. ”
