The Kenyan regulator notes however that the number of transactions is him, down from one quarter to the other (308 million against 352 million previously).<\/p>\n<p>This latest quarterly activity report confirms in all cases the &#8220;concentrated&#8221; nature of the Kenyan mobile market, with most of the transactions being carried out via the country&#8217;s two main mobile financial services: M-Pesa (18 million subscribers ) of the operator Safaricom and Equitel (2 million members) of the banking group Equity, which continues to deploy a large number of agents (30,000 against 50,000 for M-Pesa) and develop payment solutions compatible with the others operators in order to catch up with its main competitor.
