{"id":458928,"date":"2018-03-23T13:37:09","date_gmt":"2018-03-23T13:37:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.financialafrik.com\/?p=458928"},"modified":"2018-03-23T13:37:09","modified_gmt":"2018-03-23T13:37:09","slug":"ivory-coast-a-loan-of-120-million-euros-from-france-for-the-road-bouake-ferkessedougou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/2018\/03\/23\/ivory-coast-a-loan-of-120-million-euros-from-france-for-the-road-bouake-ferkessedougou\/","title":{"rendered":"Ivory Coast: a loan of 120 million euros from France for the road Bouak\u00e9 &#8211; Ferkess\u00e9dougou"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div><p>France granted a loan of 120 million euros, or nearly 79 billion FCFA, to C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire as part of the rehabilitation of the international road linking Bouak\u00e9, the big city of the Ivorian center, in Ferkess\u00e9dougou, a crossroads city from the north to the hinterland countries.<\/p>\n<p>The loan agreement signed on March 22 is &#8220;repayable at the interest rate of 1.61%, for a period of 20 years including 5 years of deferred&#8221;, said Adama Kon\u00e9, the Ivorian Minister in charge of the Economy and Finance.<\/p>\n<p>The project involves a 125 km section from Bouak\u00e9, the other 90 km to connect Ferkess\u00e9dougou being financed through the C2D program, debt reduction and development contract.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The realization of the Project will provide a road that meets the required standards. This will help make the Bouak\u00e9-Ferkess\u00e9dougou link easily passable while reducing travel time, improve user safety and facilitate trade along the corridor, &#8220;said Kon\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>This heavily degraded road is the main link between C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire and the hinterland countries such as Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;(&#8230;) the vitality of Ivorian-French cooperation is well established and measured in several areas of activity covered by the broad scope of C2D, now complemented by sovereign loans.
