Nicolas Sarkozy was detained as part of the investigation into suspicion of Libyan financing of his 2007 campaign.<\/p>\n

According to Reuters citing a judicial source, Nicolas Sarkozy is currently being heard in the premises of the judicial police in Nanterre on suspicion of illegal funding for his 2007 presidential campaign.<\/p>\n

This is the first time Nicolas Sarkozy has been heard about this since the opening of a judicial inquiry in April 2013. The detention of the former president could last up to 48 hours.<\/p>\n
