The highly publicized return in early January of Modibo Kon\u00e9 in Mali was preceded by 3 days of intense exchanges (late December) between the senior executive of the West African Development Bank (BOAD), which opted for early retirement to he declared at the foot of the plane, to put himself at the service of his country, and the Ch\u00e9rif de Nioro.<\/span><\/p>\n

The supreme authority of Hamallism, the cardinal personality of Islam, has not officially taken a stand. But for many observers, these three nights of interview with the leader of the Mali Kanu movement, under the seal of secrecy, are self-explanatory.<\/p>\n

The meeting did not escape the big ears of the Palais Koulouba in delicacy with Nioro on many files relating to the affairs of the city. As soon as informed, President IBK himself organized the counterattack.<\/p>\n

Thus, accompanied by about forty personalities, including ministers, advisers, customary chiefs, religious figures of the mosque and the church, the strong man of Mali went himself to Nioro, the 25 January, to offer condolences to the Sherif de Nioro who has just lost one of his wives.<\/p>\n

The Ch\u00e9rif de Nioro, indirectly asked to vote on the presidential elections by the large delegation on board a military troop transport aircraft, dropped this enigmatic sentence: “If you want to know the candidate I will support in 2018, I ask you to wait. If I have to support a candidate, I will do it publicly as I did in 2018. “<\/em><\/p>\n

And to continue:<\/em>“I ask all those present to associate their prayers with mine so that Mali has a president who meets the aspirations of the Malian people”<\/em>. This is to say the suspense that weighs on the Malian political sky a few months of a decisive election.<\/p>\n
