{"id":457675,"date":"2018-02-01T12:23:42","date_gmt":"2018-02-01T12:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/?p=457675"},"modified":"2018-02-01T12:23:42","modified_gmt":"2018-02-01T12:23:42","slug":"ivory-coast-the-citigroup-foundation-is-committed-to-entrepreneurship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/2018\/02\/01\/ivory-coast-the-citigroup-foundation-is-committed-to-entrepreneurship\/","title":{"rendered":"Ivory Coast: The Citigroup Foundation is committed to entrepreneurship"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div><p>Two hundred and sixty young Ivorians project developers will benefit from support from the foundation of Citigroup, a US banking group, with a view to sustainable integration.<\/p>\n<p>The project called &#8220;Citi payed Ivory Coast&#8221; is led by the American NGO Techno Serve, responsible for training these youth employability and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p>It accepted 140 young men and young women entrepreneurs and 120 job seekers.<\/p>\n<p>For the director of Citibank Ivory Coast and Regional Director of West and Central Africa, Khady Ndiaye Toure, &#8220;the project has, in total, received 1,878 applications, of which 1,229 from job seekers and 649 entrepreneurs. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Alexis Anouan, project manager at TechnoServe, the program aims to support these young people employability by enhancing their job seeker capabilities and providing them eventually to support access to finance through strategic partners.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidates will receive training over four months and operational monitoring.\u00a0This training starts in February and ends in May 2018. The young jobseekers and young entrepreneurs with project ideas, have a session over three days in the first three months and monthly sessions of three months.\u00a0As for young entrepreneurs in business, they will receive three monthly sessions during the four months.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation Citigroup &#8220;Citi Foundation&#8221; has decided to contribute to sustainable development goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations to the tune of 55 billion CFA francs by funding seven of the 17 selected areas of development.<\/p>\n<p>Citi payed project involves three countries, including Nigeria, Kenya and the Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two hundred and sixty young Ivorians project developers will benefit from support from the foundation of Citigroup, a US banking group, with a view to sustainable integration.
