The document on the &#8220;African Agenda for Migration&#8221; was designed with an inclusive and participatory approach.<\/p>\n<p>This Agenda should aim to make migration a lever for co-development, a pillar of South-South Cooperation, and a vector of solidarity.<\/p>\n<p>For this purpose, it is proposed:<\/p>\n<p>-The creation of an African Migration Observatory whose work will be based on the triptych &#8220;understand, anticipate and act&#8221;. Its mission will be to develop observation and exchange of information between African countries, in order to promote controlled management of migration flows. Morocco proposes to host this observatory.<\/p>\n<p>The Kingdom is also proposing the creation of a post of AU Special Envoy for Migration to coordinate the Union&#8217;s policies in this area.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco to host the Intergovernmental Global Compact Adoption Conference and the Global Forum for Migration and Development in December 2018 is committed to making these multilateral forums a platform for Africa.<br \/>\nSince 2015, the sovereign recalls, more than 6.200 African migrants lost their lives in the Mediterranean. For the deaths of women, children and men in Lampedusa and the filthy practices in Libya have not been in vain, it is our duty to act!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;How many dramas of migration will be needed to change the way our societies look at this issue? More than ever, it is time for Our continent to treat Migration in a spirit of full solidarity.
