This is the case of Moussa Bald\u00e9, former General Secretary of the MTN Guinea Workers&#8217; Union, and a member of the Federation of Telecommunications Trade Unions (FESATEL), the Union of Workers of Guinea (USTG), and Global Union.<\/p>\n<p>Under the banner of an independent movement, called REM, it must be said that there is Macronism in the air at a time when we are witnessing an excessive bipolarism of the Guinean political spectrum, dominated outrageously by the Party in power and the main opposition party.<\/p>\n<p>The one who gave MTN Guinea a hard time during his brief stint as head of the MTN workers union shows his ambition to become mayor of the commune of Ratoma, one of the 5 communes of Conakry.<\/p>\n<p>At only 37 years, the youth and talent of Moussa Bald\u00e9 seduced, because this young person who despite having attended the Franco-Arab school in primary and secondary school before obtaining a Master&#8217;s degree in Management at GLC University of Sonfonia , general education, with excellent honors (BAC + 4) will have quickly climbed the ladder.<\/p>\n<p>After short passages to UHODA Transport SARL, Plan Guinea, general company of bank in Guinea (SGBG), Moussa Bald\u00e9 arrives at MTN in January 2010, he will remain there until 2017. In July 2016, he is elected General Secretary of the MTN Workers&#8217; Union. In just one year six months, he will succeed two unprecedented social plans in society.<\/p>\n<p>Following a strike in November 2016 including\u00a0<strong><em>Financial Afrik<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0echoed, he&#8217;s going to get the salary index up for\u00a0<em>1, 2 and 3 level employees, with reminder; possibility to send to the pilgrimage each year two Muslim and Christian employees on holy sites; reorganization of work schedules; a qualifying training plan for employees; priority for national workers, of equal value with expatriates and the most important one which is the biggest trophy won by Moussa Bald\u00e9 as a trade unionist:<\/em>the introduction of the thirteenth month which was a non-negotiable point.<\/p>\n<p>The second case that Moussa Bald\u00e9 has managed with firmness against the general direction of the company, it is the dismissals for economic reasons. In April 2017, the MTN company decides to get rid of its 48 employees.<\/p>\n<p>Having been unable to back down management on his decision to fire 48 employees, he opted for a second plan: yes to dismissals but not at any price.<\/p>\n<p>Moussa Bald\u00e9 will negotiate the departure of the 48 employees of MTN so that their unemployment can not affect their standard of living and the benefits they have across society.<\/p>\n<p>The 48 employees will each leave with a release clause allowing them to invest or to enter the workforce in order to enable them to maintain their standard of living; he will also obtain from the general management the opportunity for them to continue to benefit from the benefits of the company several months after their departure, in particular for the services of medical care and telephone calls, etc &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Barely out of this victory, at the height of his popularity and considered a hero by the workers, he will resign from MTN to engage in the race to the municipal<\/p>\n<p>The commitment of the Guinean youth in politics is extremely rare to be emphasized in a country where more than half of the population is young.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 4 February 2018 municipal elections are expected to be hotly contested in Guinea, some candidates not affiliated to political parties have seized the opportunity offered by the electoral commission to independent candidates to participate in the election.
