These projects are designed to <strong>promote investment and facilitate job and wealth creation<\/strong> in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ECA is organizing the event in collaboration with the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will include representatives from <strong>governments, private enterprises, development partners, domestic and international investors, financial institutions, and civil society.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>African regional value chains offer a <strong>strategic entry point<\/strong> for investors to participate in the continent\u2019s <strong>accelerated industrialization<\/strong> and secure a foothold in a rapidly expanding market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Forum<\/strong> will provide participants with the opportunity to <strong>explore investment opportunities<\/strong> in regional value chains and special economic zones in Africa. It will also <strong>facilitate a common understanding of the current demand and supply of financing.<\/strong> These insights will help shape <strong>ECA\u2019s analytical and operational support<\/strong> for the development of various regional value chains across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The forum\u2019s key objectives are:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>To showcase investment opportunities<\/strong> in African regional value chains and special economic zones to attract potential investors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>To raise awareness<\/strong> of regional value chains and special economic zones at national, sub-regional, continental, and international levels;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>To establish a common understanding<\/strong> among stakeholders on feasible solutions to overcome implementation challenges for projects related to African regional value chains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the <strong>Forum will serve as a platform for information exchange<\/strong> between traditional and non-traditional financiers.
