{"id":479051,"date":"2024-04-23T23:14:31","date_gmt":"2024-04-23T23:14:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kapitalafrik.com\/?post_type=event_listing&#038;p=479051"},"modified":"2024-06-15T00:18:32","modified_gmt":"2024-06-15T00:18:32","slug":"kigali-43rd-annual-general-meeting-of-shelter-afrique-development-bank","status":"expired","type":"event_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/event\/kigali-43rd-annual-general-meeting-of-shelter-afrique-development-bank\/","title":{"rendered":"Kigali: 43rd Annual General Meeting of Shelter Afrique Development Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Rwanda to Host 43rd Annual General Meeting of Shelter Afrique Development Bank in June 2024<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rwanda will host the 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Shelter Afrique Development Bank (Shelter Afrique) in June in Kigali, the company has revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision follows Rwanda&#8217;s designation as the next host country during the 42nd Annual General Meeting of Shelter Afrique, held in Abuja, Nigeria, and the signing of the Host Country Agreement between the company and the Rwandan government in Kigali last March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Host Country Agreement was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure, Dr. Jimmy Gasore, on behalf of the Republic of Rwanda, and by the Director-General of Shelter Afrique, Thierno-Habib Hann, in the presence of the Minister of State for Infrastructure, Eng. Patricie Uwase, and Mr. Alphonse Rukaburandekwe, Director-General of the Housing Office, among other senior officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The events, scheduled from June 11th to 13th, 2024, will cover an annual symposium, a ministerial roundtable, the 43rd Annual General Meeting, and many other business activities with the same objective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Hann thanked the Rwandan government for committing to host the 43rd Annual General Meeting of the company and stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>This year&#8217;s AGM will serve as an initial step to consolidate the transformation of Shelter Afrique and the continued elevation of housing and urban development financing across the continent. We appreciate the Rwandan government&#8217;s commitment to providing affordable housing, and we believe that by hosting our 43rd AGM, Rwanda will be able to take the lead in shaping the history of affordable housing beyond its borders<\/em><\/strong>,&#8221; Mr. Hann added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Housing and finance ministers from 44 member countries, stakeholders from both the public and private housing sectors, and other governmental and non-governmental entities will take part in these significant events in the history of Shelter Afrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the signing of the Host Country Agreement, the Rwandan government must ensure the efficient organization and success of the meetings by committing to material planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Gasore congratulated Shelter Afrique for choosing Rwanda to host its 43rd Annual General Meeting.
