{"id":478981,"date":"2024-04-06T02:53:11","date_gmt":"2024-04-06T02:53:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kapitalafrik.com\/?post_type=event_listing&#038;p=478981"},"modified":"2024-04-06T02:53:15","modified_gmt":"2024-04-06T02:53:15","slug":"abidjan-the-repats-forum","status":"publish","type":"event_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/event\/abidjan-the-repats-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Abidjan: The Repats Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Theme: Direct Investment by the Afro-descendant Diaspora in Africa.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">The Repats Forum concept<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Repats Forum is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Living Abroad, in partnership with the High Commission for African Diasporas in France, the Centre for the Promotion of Investments in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire (CEPICI) and the One-Stop Shop for SME Development (GUDE-PME), and promoted by PKD Conseil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Objectives of the Repats Forum<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Encourage investment in Africa.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Forum&#8217;s mission is to encourage the African diaspora, Afro-descendants and friends of Africa to return to the &#8220;Mother Country&#8221; (Repats).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>To mobilize the capital and know-how of the Repats and Diasporas for the development of Africa.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Forum&#8217;s mission is also to encourage the African diaspora to return and contribute their know-how and expertise, and to take their place in Africa&#8217;s development within the economic ecosystem by recruiting local companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Financing SMEs to develop African economies<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last but not least, it&#8217;s a Forum that connects African SMEs with all the different players involved, giving them access to traditional and alternative financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">The program<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Opening ceremony<\/em><br>The opening ceremony, chaired by Madame Raymonde Goudou Coffie, Minister and<br>Governor of the Lake District aims to promote direct investment by the African diaspora<br>and friends of Africa in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Plenary Conferences<\/em><br>Panels of experts presenting the levers for transforming African economies<br>particularly in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire:<br>Foreign direct investment: what are the investment opportunities in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire?<br>Diaspora and Integration: how to secure diaspora investment and ensure their successful return<br>in Africa.
