Mr <strong>Denis Sassou-Nguesso<\/strong>, President of the<br>Republic of the Congo, the first edition of <strong>the Africa Finance, Banking and Digitalisation Summit (AFBDS- CEMAC)<\/strong> will be held in <strong>Brazzaville<\/strong> on <strong>25-26 January 2024<\/strong>.<br>The theme of the Summit is: &#8220;<strong>Digitalisation of the banking and financial sector, a<br>vector for growth and integration in the CEMAC region<\/strong>&#8220;. It is an opportunity to<br>reaffirm the key role of digitisation of the financial and banking sector in promoting<br>the transformation of economies and financial systems for greater resilience.<br>The Central African region offers considerable advantages to both foreign and<br>African investors. The CEMAC countries enjoy a strategic position within the<br>continent, and present significant opportunities and advantages that remain under-<br>exploited:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High-quality infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Considerable agricultural potential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An extremely rich mining basin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A major financial hub with development potential that will spread throughout the<br>region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim is to create synergy between countries and institutions in the CEMAC zone,<br>share experiences and reflect on the modernisation of banking and financial<br>infrastructure to achieve greater regional integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topics to be discussed:<br>\u25aa Fintechs and financial compliance.<br>\u25aa Technological innovation.<br>\u25aa The challenges of the banking and financial ecosystem in the CEMAC zone.<br>\u25aa Financial inclusion.<br>\u25aa The digitalisation of payments.<br>\u25aa The fight against money laundering.<br>\u25aa The role of microfinance in the age of digitalization.<br>\u25aa Financial players, ESG and humanitarian commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Africa Finance, Banking and Digitization Summit ( AFBDS- CEMAC) will be hosting<br>the first edition of the Troph\u00e9es, a prestigious gala evening to be held in Brazzaville<br>in Brazzaville on January 25, 2024, attended by political, banking and financial leaders. The aim of the Troph\u00e9es is to highlight the reforms, modernization reforms, modernization, consolidation, integration and rapid expansion of the of the banking and finance sector.
