London: Africa Summit
Africa in a complex world
The past decade has seen Africa Rising’s optimism give way to concerns about stagnation, debt, conflict and food insecurity. Yet many African economies have continued to grow. African technology is attracting large amounts of capital, and the continent’s commitment to the creation of a single market has led many other countries to give Africa unprecedented attention, creating opportunities to attract more investment. How can African countries follow the right diplomatic and economic path? Effectively manage the energy transition and also create the economic conditions to ensure that its young, fast-growing populations find jobs to meet their own aspirations and contribute to their nation’s development?
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the FT Africa Summit will bring together a prestigious panel of companies, political decision-makers and opinion leaders from Africa and around the world. The Summit is widely recognized as one of the most important international forums for serious and productive debate on the continent’s challenges and aspirations.
